The Wait is Almost Over...SWR Fall Calves Coming October 2026!

SOMETHING VERY SPECIAL IS COMING TO SWR…

Fall calving season begins around October 15th — and we truly believe this may be one of the most exciting calf crops we have ever produced.

Over the past several years, we have been incredibly intentional about building two very different breeding programs here at Singing Waters Ranch.

Our AHCA registered Highland program is focused on exceptional traditional Highland cattle, pedigree depth, structure, maternal quality, breed character and genetics capable of becoming the foundation of future herds.

Our boutique mini program is focused on the tiny, hairy, beautifully colored, people-friendly cattle so many families have fallen in love with.

This fall, calves from both programs will begin arriving — and some of these matings have been years in the making

For our registered program, we invested heavily in genetics we believe can move our herd forward.

We looked beyond color and focused on quality, pedigree, Highland character, structure, maternal potential and genetic diversity.

And we cannot wait to see the results.

LiTerra Endeavor — AHCA #66,361

Endeavor is one of those bulls who immediately catches your eye.

By STR Armageddon and out of LiTerra Yvonne, he brings beautiful Highland character, substance and an incredible amount of hair and frosting.

We selected Endeavor because we wanted more than a pretty calf — we wanted genetics capable of producing beautiful, functional females worthy of retaining in our registered program.

We have several highly anticipated Endeavor calves expected from some of our favorite SWR females.

Creag Glas of Ardbhan — AHCA #72,426

This is a very special one.

Creag Glas is a dun, UK-bred Highland bull from the Ardbhan fold on North Uist, Scotland.

His pedigree represents traditional Scottish genetics that are still relatively uncommon within the United States, giving us an exciting opportunity to introduce valuable outcross genetics while preserving the Highland type we want in our herd.

For breeders searching for pedigrees that are a little different from what is commonly available in the U.S., we think these calves could be particularly exciting.

Popple Creek Farm Moon — AHCA #66,614

And, of course, we are excited to begin seeing more calves from our own silver registered herd sire, Moon.

Moon was selected for his beautiful Highland character, structure and the potential we believe he brings to our registered females.

His silver color certainly makes him striking, but our goal with Moon has always gone far beyond color.

We are looking forward to seeing how his genetics develop within the next generation of SWR registered Highlands.

Our boutique breeding program focuses on:

SWR Moonshine

If you have followed Singing Waters Ranch for very long, you probably already know this guy. 🤎

Moonshine has become one of the most recognizable sires in our boutique program — and his daughters have consistently been some of our most sought-after calves.

Moonshine is a chondro-positive, silver-tipped, very high percent highland, HighPark bull with the small stature, beautiful head, hair and boutique appearance we love.

His daughters in particular have developed quite a following.

So if you have been waiting for a Moonshine girl, we strongly encourage you to get onto our Priority Buyer List before this calf crop arrives.

S&S Tank

We also invested in Tank specifically for this upcoming generation.

Tank is a beautifully built chondro-positive yellow bull with a fantastic head, lots of hair and the compact look we want to continue developing within the boutique herd.

His color genetics make these matings especially fun to anticipate, but what drew us to Tank was the opportunity to combine small size with a genuinely attractive Highland-type animal.

We cannot wait to see these babies.
